My name is Stanislava Varbanova, and I work in the field of realistic figurative painting and illustration. In recent years, my creative focus has been directed toward the depiction of animals, primarily through oil portraits. I am based in Bulgaria.
Between 2015 and 2018, I studied Printmaking at the National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, but I discontinued my studies in order to devote myself to independent studies in painting and illustration. In 2025, my debut solo exhibition “ANIMA” took place, and in the same year I became a member of the Society of Animalists, Florists, and Scientific Illustrators (SAFSI/DAFNI) in Bulgaria.
I work mainly with oil paints on canvas, and my illustrations are predominantly digital.
